Job Description
• Perform structural stress analysis for developed and modified designs, ensuring compliance with safety and certification requirements.
• Provide technical guidance during the design development phase, including reviewing and assessing preliminary drawings.
• Support the development, testing, and validation of new or repaired components.
• Generate comprehensive technical reports and documentation for analysis and testing.
• Participate in component test planning and execution.
• Collaborate with certification teams to meet Transport Canada CAR, FAA FAR, and other aviation authority requirements.
• Mentor and provide technical directions to junior engineers when required.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering.
• Solid understanding of classical stress analysis methods.
• Hands-on experience with analytical/hand calculations for stress analysis.
• Experience in finite element modeling (FEM/FEA).
• Knowledge of fracture mechanics and damage tolerance analysis is a strong advantage.
• Working knowledge of aircraft structures and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with aircraft drawings, maintenance manuals, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong report writing and documentation skills.
• Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software is an asset.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Excellent English communication skills (oral and written).
• Self-motivated, analytical, and results-oriented problem solver.
