Job Description
Business Management Support:
Collaborate with the Board of Directors (BOD) to support strategic business management initiatives and organizational goals.
Provide insights and recommendations for improving business operations, increasing efficiency, and meeting corporate objectives.
Monitor business performance, analyze key data, and provide actionable solutions to meet or exceed business targets.
Human Resource Development:
Design and implement training programs aimed at developing employee skills and enhancing team productivity.
Instruct and mentor employees across all levels, ensuring alignment with company values and culture.
Work closely with HR to develop career development plans for employees, supporting continuous learning and professional growth.
Advising on HR Policies:
Advise the BOD on the creation and modification of human resource policies to ensure they are aligned with the company’s long-term objectives and Japanese business practices.
Recommend and implement policies related to employee engagement, retention, and performance management.
Keep the BOD informed of changes in HR legislation and ensure the company remains compliant with labor laws in all operating markets.
Cultural Alignment and Organizational Development:
Guide the BOD on incorporating Japanese enterprise culture into the company's operations, ensuring alignment with traditional values such as respect, harmony, and continuous improvement (Kaizen).
Promote and facilitate a work culture that emphasizes collaboration, discipline, and loyalty, which are integral to Japanese companies.
Additional Tasks:
Assist the General Director (GD) with any other administrative or operational tasks as required.
Support business operations as needed, stepping into cross-functional roles to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Take ownership of project management, ensuring that the company’s goals are achieved on time and within budget.
Job Requirements
Japanese N2 or Business Level proficiency in Japanese is essential for effective communication with stakeholders, employees, and partners.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in management roles, particularly within Japanese companies. Experience in retail management is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of Business Administration: Including an understanding of key areas such as strategy, finance, operations, and people management.
Deep understanding of Japanese business culture, including its values, communication styles, and work ethics.
Excellent business manner and behavior, including professionalism, integrity, and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience in retail business management, especially in managing teams or advising leadership in a Japanese company.
Proven track record of successfully implementing HR policies that lead to organizational growth and employee satisfaction.
Ability to coach and develop a diverse workforce, encouraging personal development and team collaboration.
